Welcome to my website, MAGS DESIGN'S. My name is Marguerite and I am a retired physical therapist due to physical circumstances. I was self-employed and practiced for 22 years. I am a wife and mother of two boys active in the sport of gymnastics, karate and baseball. I am a two time cancer survivor.
I am inspired by life, surroundings and the people I meet. I have always had an a appreciation of art and have collected paintings, furniture, and jewelry thru out my travels. At the ageof 8 I began the study of Art under Gaetano Pennissi. Art and creative design has remained my vision. Four years ago, I became inspired to resume my interest in the study of art in varied forms. I appreciate Alyson Thompson a prominent local artist for her guidance and direction . My mediums have been pastel and oil. I love taking a photo and having it come to life on canvas. I also enjoy doing portraits.
For the past few years I have studied jewelry design using Swarovski crystals, gemstones, beads and pearls. With my years of art lessons I developed my vision of color combinations and intense focus which is needed in creating a piece of perfect jewelry. I love simple beading to highly advanced techniques in beading with the needle. I learn daily collaborating with my peers, taking advanced classes, while developing my portfolio. I have been told I am a perfectionist with my art and jewelry design.
I love to work with Swarovski crystals and am intrigued with the variety of colors. The crystals come in regular, AB and AB2x, the latter having the most shine. All my gem stones and lampwork are A quality. I use pure .925 sterling, gold plated and vermeil findings in all my pieces. Bracelet sizes can be e-mailed and follow a simple format. Small:6 1/2 to 7 inches, Medium: 7 1/2 to 8 inches, Large: 8 to 9 inches if unsure add 1/2 to 1 inch more. Necklaces are adjustable on siver or gold chain unless custom orders for toggles or various clasps are specified.
